This release was developed as part of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) project. Below is a list of all the applications involved in this project along with their patch numbers: APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ENGINE (ECME) V. 1.0 BPS*1*33 OUTPATIENT PHARMACY (OP) V. 7.0 PSO*7*680 Both patches are being released via a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) multi-build distribution. KIDS multi-build name: BPS PSO BUNDLE 21.0 KIDS Host File name: BPS_1_33_PSO.KID This specific patch contains the following functionality: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. Do not put an Rx into suspense when claim activity, triggered by a release message being returned to Vista from OPAI or CMOP, takes too long to complete. In those instances, the Rx has already been filled and should not be put into suspense to be filled again. 2. Use the NDC returned to VistA on the CMOP release message when a paid claim has been auto-reversed due to CMOP not filling the prescription within the window specified by the auto-reverse parameter. 3. The field BPS PHARMACY FOR CS is being added to the file BPS PHARMACIES. If this field is populated, then the National Provider Identifier (NPI) for that pharmacy will be sent on outgoing claim requests for controlled substance prescriptions. When the response message sent from CMOP/OPAI into VistA triggers additional claim activity, and that claim activity takes too long to complete, the system is putting the prescription into the suspense queue, leading the prescription to be filled a second time.
