Below is a list of the applications involved in this release along with their patch numbers. Order of installation is not important. APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- OUTPATIENT PHARMACY v7.0 PSO*7.0*753 CMOP v2.0 PSX*2.0*98 Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Outpatient Pharmacy (OP) patch PSO*7.0*753 is being released to provide the ability to select on an individual basis, whether a prescription in the PRESCRIPTION (#52) file should be filled locally or be filled through CMOP. Current system capability is that the mail preferences (window only, regular including CMOP, certified including CMOP, regular local only, certified local only) are a patient level property stored in the PHARMACY PATIENT (#55) file. This enhancement retains the same baseline capability of the PHARMACY PATIENT file as it exists now, and additionally offers an exemption at the prescription level as an exemption to the baseline. This patch PSO*7*753 has the following enhancements: 1. A new field, (22) Mail Exemption, has been added to the OP Medications screen. 2. A new field, MAIL EXEMPTION (#100.2), has been added to the PRESCRIPTION (#52) file. 3. A new indicator (x) is being added at the end of each prescription number in the Medication Profile screen when the prescription has the MAIL EXEMPTION (#100.2) field populated. 4. When the patient level MAIL field (#.03) in the PHARMACY PATIENT (#55) file is changed, the data in the MAIL EXEMPTION (#100.2) field in the PRESCRIPTION (#52) file shall be deleted. 5. A new sub-action, Mail Exemption for Prescription [EX], has been added to the hidden action Other OP Actions [OTH] on the Medication Profile screen. 6. A new message is displayed under Prescription Mail Delivery on the Patient Information screen indicating the number of active prescriptions with Mail Exemptions. 7. The Activity Log will track changes to prescription level mail exemption. 8. The days to pull ahead (bundle) prescriptions suspended for local/CMOP dispensing of both controlled and non-controlled substances will interrogate the prescription level mail exemption and if none, the patient level mail. 9. If CMOP is selected and the date to fill has arrived based on the days to suspend/transmit criteria, the check and the build of the CMOP transmission is done. ************************************************************************** SECTION 1: DATA DICTIONARY UPDATES ************************************************************************** DATA NAME GLOBAL DATA ELEMENT TITLE LOCATION TYPE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 52,100.2 MAIL EXEMPTION 7;2 SET '0' FOR REGULAR MAIL; '1' FOR CERTIFIED MAIL; '2' FOR DO NOT MAIL; '3' FOR LOCAL REGULAR; '4' FOR LOCAL CERTIFIED; LAST EDITED: APR 24, 2024 HELP-PROMPT: Choose the Mail Exemption for patient's Rx. DESCRIPTION: This field is used to: A) Determine whether this patient's Rx is to be sent to the CMOP, or retained for local distribution. If 2-4 are selected, this Rx will not be transmitted to the CMOP. B) Select what the mail priority is. The CMOP choices are limited to (0) REGULAR and (1) CERTIFIED. Local mail may be designated (3) LOCAL - REGULAR or (4) LOCAL - CERTIFIED. The 'DO NOT MAIL' code (2) may be used to ensure that the patient's Rx is not mailed. ************************************************************************** SECTION 2: PHARMACY SCREEN UPDATES ************************************************************************** A.
