Currently, Day-of-Week schedules are frequently abbreviated to two characters. The challenge with this is that this abbreviation gets included in discharge instructions and, in many cases, transcribed to the prescription bottle labels. In order for instructions to be as clear as possible, the field requested forcing an expansion of the Day-of-Week schedules to have the full name. For example, a Day-of-Week schedule entered in either CPRS or Outpatient Pharmacy as TU-WE-TH is expected to be expanded to TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. NOTE: If the OUTPATIENT EXPANSION field in the ADMINISTRATION SCHEDULE File has a value that expansion is used. This patch is being released along with a multi-package build that contains OR*3.0*547 and PSO*7.0*449. CMOP sites need to ONLY install the PSS*1.0*249 patch.
