$TXT Created by at MNTVBB.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Tuesday, 07/13/21 at 16:21 ============================================================================= Run Date: AUG 17, 2021 Designation: PXRM*2*77 Package : PXRM - CLINICAL REMINDERS Priority: Mandatory Version : 2 SEQ #60 Status: Released Compliance Date: SEP 17, 2021 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)PXRM*2*45 <<= must be installed BEFORE `PXRM*2*77' Subject: NATIONAL ELEMENTS SHOULD NOT BE EDITED TO GROUPS Category: - Routine Description: ============ This patch addresses the following issue: NATIONAL class dialog elements should not be edited as dialog groups. Patient Safety Issues (PSIs): HITPS-7895 Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: INC17417583: National Dialog Elements Should Not Be Edited to Groups Problem: -------- In the Reminder Dialog Management [PXRM DIALOG MANAGEMENT] option of the Clinical Reminders package in VistA, a bug in the VistA prompts allows a user to edit a NATIONAL class dialog element into a dialog group. The ability to do this is not needed, and the prompt should be suppressed. Changing a dialog element to a dialog group has the negative consequence of producing truncated (and, hence, erroneous) output into Progress Note text for any Mental Health (MH) questionnaire attached to that item that was originally an element. There may be other negative effects of the change from an element to a group, but the issue with MH questionnaire output is the only known example of negative effects at this time. Resolution: ----------- Modify routine PXRMDEDI to not allow a NATIONAL class dialog element to be edited as a dialog group. Back-out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routine in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routine can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routine onto the VistA System. The back-out plan is to restore the routine from the backup created. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore, no rollback strategy is required. Validation of Back-out Procedure: -------------------------------- The Back-out Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the routines contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routine contained in the PXRM*2.0*77 patch has been backed out, the first two lines of the routine will no longer contain the designation of this patch in the patch list section on line 2. Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;2.0;CLINICAL REMINDERS;**[Patch List]**;Feb 04, 2005;Build 5 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD.
