This update needs to be distributed to the sites. Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: ------------------------------------------- Rational Work Item - 911223 - Yearly update to Radiology procedure Problem: ------- RADIOLOGY CPT BY PROCEDURE TYPE file (#73.2) needs to be updated with the yearly updates provided by the Radiology Program Office. Resolution: ---------- This patch will update the RADIOLOGY CPT BY PROCEDURE TYPE file (#73.2) for distribution to the sites. Test Sites: ---------- Miami VA HCS James J. Peters VAMC (the Bronx) Patch Installation: Pre-Installation Instructions: ----------------------------- Create a backup of the following global file before continuing: When you are creating a backup of a subscripted global, you are saving a partial global (a file within a global). You should use the utility ^%GOGEN, and when prompted for a global, enter the open global reference as shown below. Example: Enter To create a Backup copy of: ----- -------------------------- ^RA(73.2, RADIOLOGY CPT BY PROCEDURE TYPE If installed during the normal workday, it is recommended that the Radiology users be off the system. Other VistA users will not be affected. This patch will take less than 2 minutes to install. Installation Instructions: ------------------------- 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this patch. 2. Choose the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option to load the KIDS patch onto your system. 3. From the Kernel Installation & Distribution System Menu (KIDS), select the Installation Menu. 4. From the Installation Menu, you may elect to use the following options. When prompted for the INSTALL NAME enter the patch RA*5.0*155. a. Print Transport Global - This option will allow you to print only a summary of the patch, to print a summary of the patch and the routines in the transport global, or to print only the routines in the transport global. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. (It compares all components of this patch's routines, DDs, templates, etc.). 5. From the Installation Menu, select the Install Package(s) option and choose the patch to install. 6. When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? NO//, respond 'NO'. 7. When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, And Protocols? NO//', respond 'NO'. Back-out/Rollback Strategy: -------------------------- In the event of a catastrophic failure, the Facility CIO may make the decision to back-out the patch. This patch involves data modifications. Please log a Help Desk ticket. HPS will assist with deletion of the RA*5.0*155 version of the RADIOLOGY CPT BY PROCEDURE TYPE file (#73.2) and the restore of file #73.2 file from the backup specified in the Pre-Installation Instructions. Note: This process should only be done with the concurrence and participation of the development team and the appropriate VA Site/Region personnel.
