$TXT Created by DEVRAD.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Wednesday, 01/06/21 at 09:15 ============================================================================= Run Date: FEB 04, 2021 Designation: RA*5*174 Package : RA - RADIOLOGY/NUCLEAR MEDICINE Priority: Mandatory Version : 5 SEQ #156 Status: Released Compliance Date: MAR 08, 2021 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)RA*5*90 <<= must be installed BEFORE `RA*5*174' (v)RA*5*132 <<= must be installed BEFORE `RA*5*174' (v)RA*5*168 <<= must be installed BEFORE `RA*5*174' (v)RA*5*172 <<= must be installed BEFORE `RA*5*174' Subject: RA IMPORTER/WOMEN'S HEALTH, OUTSIDE REPORTS TIED TO REGULAR CREDIT I-LOCS & MISC Category: - Routine Description: ============ Associated Ticket(s): ===================== INC11751870 (Atlanta VAMC - Women's Health/I3) INC12832281 (Boise VAMC - Outside Rpts & Credit I-Locs) INC13455569 (Schedule/Re-Schedule a Request) INC13455907 (Add Cerner specific RIS request cancel reason) Participating Test Sites: ========================= Martinsburg, WV Indianapolis, IN This patch will address the following issues: 1) Add the functionality to the VistA Imaging DICOM Importer III application, through the integration of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine (RIS), to update the Women's Health application. INC11751870 (Atlanta VAMC) 2) When a facility enters an outside report using the 'Outside Report Entry/Edit' [RA OUTSIDE RPTENTRY] in the Radiology/Nuclear Medicine application those reports tied to credit clinics update the PATIENT CARE ENCOUNTER (PCE) application. This patch will stop crediting PCE when crediting is attempted on a study tied to an outside report. INC12832281 (Boise VAMC) 3) The 'Schedule a Request' [RA ORDERSCHEDULE] option has been enhanced to allow the user to schedule one or more patient specific radiology requests for the first time in addition to re-scheduling one or more patient specific radiology scheduled requests. The field 'SCHEDULED DATE (TIME optional)' field (#23) in the RAD/NUC MED ORDERS (#75.1) file cannot be a past date (relative to NOW) and cannot exceed the 'DATE DESIRED (Not guaranteed)' field (#23) value also in file 75.1, by more than two hundred and ten (210) days. INC13455569 4) Adds the 'MILLENNIUM CONVERSION' record to the RAD/NUC MED REASON (#75.2) file. This will be a national cancel reason. INC13455907 Problem One ----------- The Women's Health (WV) application was not updated when a WV eligible RIS exam is imported using the VistA Imaging DICOM Importer III application. Resolution One -------------- When a RIS exam is imported and completed that information is passed to the WV application. Problem Two ----------- Outside reports tied to full or partial credit clinics update PCE. Resolution Two -------------- Any outside report entered will not credit PCE. Problem Three ------------- To re-schedule a currently scheduled radiology request that request must be placed in a request status of 'Hold' using the option 'Hold a Request' [RA ORDERHOLD]. Then that same request must be re-scheduled using the 'Schedule a Request' [RA ORDERSCHEDULE] option. Resolution Three ---------------- The 'Schedule a Request' option has been updated to allow the user to schedule for the first time or re-schedule one or more scheduled requests for a single patient. The 'SCHEDULED DATE (TIME optional)' field value cannot be a past date nor a date which exceeds the 'DATE DESIRED (Not guaranteed)' field value of the lone order, or of one of the orders, selected by more than 210 days. Problem Four ------------ As the VA transitions away from the VistA Radiology/Nuclear Medicine (RIS) application to Cerner Millennium (CM) pending orders in the RIS must be canceled and placed in CM. The orders canceled in the RIS need to be tracked. Creating a cancel reason specific to the cutover to CM is the preferred tracking method. Resolution Four --------------- The National Radiology Program Office (NRPO) has released new national radiology cancel reason specific to the Cerner cutover. This new cancel reason will be loaded into the RAD/NUC MED REASON file (#75.2). Detailed Request Display [RA ORDERDISPLAY] Hold a Request [RA ORDERHOLD] Schedule a Request [RA ORDERSCHEDULE] Register Patient for Exams [RA REG] Backout/Roll-back Strategy: =========================== Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System.
