The issues are spelled out below. Problem 1: ---------- RA*5.0*169 began the recording of rejected backdoor orders by CPRS. Prior to patch RA*5.0*175 to produce a report displaying rejected orders a user would need to use VA FileMan. Resolution 1: ------------- RA*5.0*175 will release an option to display rejected radiology orders. This report will sort by the 'DATE DESIRED (Not guaranteed)' date range input by the user. The new rejected radiology orders report will be an option on the newly formatted 'Radiology/Nuclear Med Order Entry Menu' [RA ORDER] menu: Radiology/Nuclear Med Order Entry Menu [RA ORDER] LOG Menu of Request Log Options ... <-- New Menu REF Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider Cancel a Request Detailed Request Display Hold a Request Print Rad/Nuc Med Requests by Date Print Selected Requests by Patient Rad/Nuc Med Procedure Information Look-Up Request an Exam Schedule a Request Update a Hold Request LOG Menu of Request Log Options [RA ORDERLOG MENU] PEND Pending/Hold Rad/Nuc Med Request Log REJ Log of CPRS Rejected Requests by Date Desired <-- New Option Log of Scheduled Requests by Procedure Ward/Clinic Scheduled Request Log The [RA ORDERLOG MENU] menu will logically group options by functionality and reduce the number of options under the [RA ORDER] menu prior to the release of patch RA*5.0*175. Problem 2: ---------- The interface between the Order Entry/Results Reporting (OE/RR) version 2.5 and VistA Radiology/Nuclear Medicine (RIS) relied on a REQUEST STATUS (#5) field cross reference ('ACHN'). OE/RR version 3.0 is now implemented throughout the enterprise. Resolution 2: ------------- RA*5.0*175 will delete the 'ACHN' cross-reference on the REQUEST STATUS (#5) field. This is a cross-reference specific to OE/RR 2.5 (retired). Problem 3: ---------- When running the 'Cancel an Exam' option, the cancellation reason is not required. If the cancellation reason is not entered, it should show 'EXAM CANCELLED' as the reason. It currently shows '0'. Resolution 3: ------------- If a cancelled reason for an exam is not entered by the user, default to 'EXAM CANCELLED' as the reason for cancelling the exam. Problem 4: ---------- A printset report broadcast to the VistA RIS is tied to the studies for that patient, even if the status of that study is 'CANCELLED', if the 'ALLOW RPTS ON CANCELLED CASES?' parameter is set to 'NO'. Resolution 4: ------------- Each study that is part of a printset has its examination status check against the division specific 'ALLOW RPTS ON CANCELLED CASES?' parameter. If the study is canceled and the 'ALLOW RPTS ON CANCELLED CASES?' parameter is set to 'NO' the report is not associated with that cancelled study. Problem 5: ---------- When canceling a printset descendent, 'RA PROCEDURE' with accession number 021921-123, the text displayed to the user is: "RA PROCEDURE's Case No. 021732-123" "This descendent exam has associated images." Notice the last two digits on the date portion of the accession number: '32'. This is incorrect: the last two digits of the correct accession are '21' which indicate the year 2021 and NOT the digits '32' which would indicate the year 1932. Resolution 5: ------------- The 'Cancel an Exam' [RA CANCEL] option will be updated to fix the issue where the year identified on an accession number shows the correct last two year identifier digits. of the year. Backout/Roll-back Strategy: =========================== Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;5.0;Radiology/Nuclear Medicine;**[Patch List]**;Mar 16, 1998;Build 2 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD. Routine Name: RADD2 Before: B32807085 After: B26227914 **84,47,124,158,175** Description of Changes: RA*5.0*175 removed the functionality in the CH^RADD2 tag which triggered the OE/RR V2.5 dedicated "ACHN" cross-reference (xref) set on the REQUEST STATUS (#5) field of the RAD/NUC MED ORDERS (#75.1) file. The "ACHN" xref fired off bulletin code that notified users that a radiology request was put into a status of 'DISCONTINUED' or 'HOLD'. The field is optional, but the prompt did not default to a value of 'EXAM CANCELLED' which was the original intent of the design.
