Other updates to menus include a new Report Management Menu which will house the existing delete/restore/unverify a report menus. A new security key RA RPTMGR will be used to lock these options currently locked by RA MGR and RA UNVERIFY. Additional housekeeping for unused options. INC17655057 - CC consults that are generated in VistA radiology (auto-consult) process shows activity from dates in the future. Problem 1: ---------- The NRPO requested a discontinued request report be created to provide tracking for those radiology orders. This has also been requested from the field (INC17492130) Resolution 1: ------------- A new report option called 'Log of Discontinued Requests' [RA ORDER DISCONTIUED] will be available under the 'Menu of Request Log Options' [RA ORDERLOG MENU], which resides under the 'Radiology/Nuclear Med Order Entry Menu' [RA ORDER]. This option will provide a report of radiology requests in a DISCONTINUED status. The report is sorted by imaging location and date range. The output will display PATIENT NAME, LAST 4, PROCEDURE, DATE DESIRED, DATE CANCELED, WHO CANCELED, CANCEL REASON Problem 2: ---------- The NRPO asked to have better control over deletion and amending of reports by grouping them together under a new parent menu and locking them with a new security key as the current RA MGR security key is too broadly scoped. Resolution 2: ------------- A new 'Rad/Nuc Med Report Management' [RA REPORT MANAGEMENT] menu will house the existing 'Delete a Report' [RA DELETERPT], 'Unverify a Report for Amendment' [RA UNVERIFY], and 'Restore a Deleted Report' [RA RESTORE REPORT]. These options will now be locked with a new security key RA RPTMGR. The RA UNVERIFY key (no longer needed) will be renamed to the RA RPTMGR key and key description updated. Problem 3: ---------- Menu housekeeping. Patch RA*5*127 introduced the MRPF/LOINC procedure mapping functionality as part of the Native Domain Standardization (NDS) project. The final phase of the project for radiology was never completed, therefore the options put in place were never utilized. Resolution 3: ------------- The NRPO approved disabling five options that currently reside on the Supervisor Menu [RA SUPERVISOR]. In addition, we removed the items from that parent menu so they are no longer displayed to the application end user. The following five options will be placed Out of Order: Edit MRPF Association on One Procedure [RA MAP ONE] Associate Local Procedures to MRPF [RA MAP TO MRPF] Enter/Edit LOINC for one procedure [RALOINC ENTER] Print Active Procedures with inactive CPT/LOINC [RA MRPF PIN] Master Procedure file seeding Complete [RA SEEDING DONE] Problem 4: ---------- The Community Care Referral radiology option passed the incorrect date for the comment activity. Resolution 4: ------------- Routine RAORDR modified to pass the correct date. Test Sites: ----------- Richard L. Back-out/Rollback Strategy: ========================== Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. If the new backup build option was used, after Xtracting the patch message use the KIDS Installation menu and enter RA*5.0*179b at the INSTALL NAME prompt.
