Issue 1: -------- Option: RA OUTSIDE RPTENTRY Error: CKREQ+5^RABIRAD An outside report for a mammography exam is being entered using a 'BROAD' procedure type. Broad procedure types don't have CPT codes. The radiology code does a check using CPT to see if a BIRAD code is required. As a result, the software fails in error. Resolution 1: ------------- Update the routine RARTE5. Check to see if the study selected is tied to a 'Broad' procedure type. Broad procedures do not have a CPT Code. If the study is tied to a broad procedure do not allow an outside report for the study. Issue 2: -------- The option 'Outside Report Entry/Edit' [RA OUTSIDE RPTENTRY] has a description that needs to be updated. Resolution 2: ------------- From ---- "This option allows the user to log an outside interpreted report, without having to verify it. The report entered from this option is automatically given the 'Electronically Filed' report status." To -- "For studies tied to CPT Codes this option allows the user to log an outside interpreted report without having to verify it. The report entered from this option is automatically given the 'Electronically Filed' report status." Note: 'Outside Report Entry/Edit' will not log an outside interpreted report to a study with a 'Broad' procedure type. Issue 3: -------- Analysis of the RA EXAM EDIT input template, required for case editing, reveals no check of the exam status parameter set to determine if the film size data question should be skipped. All the specific exam statuses identified by the reporting site have been checked and all have the answer 'No' set for asking about film size. Tests have shown the film size data question is asked when case editing the exam. Resolution 3: ------------- Update the RA EXAM EDIT input template to check the imaging type specific 'ASK FOR FILM DATA?' (72;.24) examination status parameter for all the examinations statuses of higher order than the current exam status. Only if the 'ASK FOR FILM DATA?' question for a higher examination status is set to 'YES' will the user be asked for film data. Post-Installation Instructions: ------------------------------- Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. If the new backup build option was used, after Xtracting the patch message use the KIDS Installation menu and enter RA*5.0*186b at the INSTALL NAME prompt. Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;5.0;Radiology/Nuclear Medicine;**[Patch List]**;Mar 16, 1998;Build 1 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD.
