INC24847725 - Referring order to cc consult menu does not display the correct ordering provider name Problem: -------- It was reported that the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF) option may not display the correct ordering provider at the order selection prompt. A list of orders with more than one ordering provider displays all orders with the same provider. Resolution: ----------- Several updates to the referral option have been made to correct this issue: 1) The option will now use the canned radiology order lookup/selection routine ^RAORDS 2) A new REFERRED TO COMMUNITY CARE? (#201) indicator field has been added to the RAD/NUC MED ORDER file (#75.1) 3) Other routines updated as needed for this change. 4) Unauthorized writes to other package files replaced with authorized ones. 5) Unused code has been removed from the routines for this option Note that the format of the list is slightly different than it was previously, as it will now match the order selection list format that is used elsewhere throughout the package. Routine RAORDR has been updated to call ^RAORDS - the canned radiology order selection routine. The previous order selection code has been removed from RAORDR. Also, the 'update comment' code has been modified to use the approved API #2980. Routine RAORDR1 has been updated to remove a direct (unauthorized) write to the ^OR global which adds a custom community care reason in the comment. This is now handled by the RA EVSEND OR event protocol which is used for all radiology order updates to CPRS Routine RAORDS is updated to be option aware, so orders displayed for the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF) option do not include orders already referred. Routine RAORDU is updated to be option aware and set the referral flag when an order is referred to community care using the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF). Routine RAO7CH is updated to be option aware and set the custom comment (hold reason) when an order is referred to community care using the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF). The RAD/NUC MED ORDERS file (#75.1) has a new field added called REFERRED TO COMMUNITY CARE? (#201). The field will be set to 'YES' automatically when an order is referred to community care using the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF). Post-Init routine RAIPS196 will create a task that loops through all radiology orders in a DISCONTINUED, HOLD, or COMPLETE status since patch RA*5.0*148 was installed and check if the order was previously referred to community care using the 'Refer Selected Requests to COMMUNITY CARE Provider' (RA ORDERREF) option. If so, the new field REFERRED TO COMMUNITY CARE? (#201), will be set to 'YES'. A mailman message will be sent to the installer of the patch with statistics of the orders checked and updated. the mailman subject is: "RAD/NUC MED RA*5.0*196 Post-Install Information" See the post-install steps for more details on the mailman message. Enter message action (in IN basket): Ignore// If the site does not have any referred orders, that will also be indicated in the mail message. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. If the new backup build option was used, after Xtracting the patch message use the KIDS Installation menu and enter RA*5.0*196b at the INSTALL NAME prompt. The back-out plan is to restore the routines from the backup created. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore, no rollback strategy is required. Validation of Back-out Procedure: --------------------------------- The Back-out Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the routines contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routines contained in the RA*5.0*196 patch have been backed out, the first two lines of the routines will no longer contain the designation of this patch in the patch list section on the second line. --- Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;5.0;Radiology/Nuclear Medicine;**[Patch List]**;Mar 16, 1998;Build 1 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD.
