Problem: -------- Problem requesting an exam after entering an outside report. The Request an Exam [RA ORDEREXAM] option will exit prematurely after the procedure is entered. The application end user (AEU) must re-enter the option to create a request when this happens. Resolution: ----------- A variable used to identify an invalid procedure (exit condition) in the Request an Exam [RA ORDEREXAM] option is also defined inside the Outside Report Entry/Edit [RA OUTSIDE RPTENTRY] option and it is not 'cleaned up'. Both options will now 'new' the variable in question so that no invalid data is defined outside of the respective options. 2) The National Radiology Program Office (NRPO) requests updates to the Pending/Hold Rad/Nuc Med Request Log [RA ORDERPENDING]. Problem: -------- NRPO requests updates to the Pending/Hold Rad/Nuc Med Request Log [RA ORDERPENDING] option to allow sorting by Request Entered Date. Currently this report can only be sorted by Date Desired. Resolution: ----------- The Pending/Hold Rad/Nuc Med Request Log [RA ORDERPENDING] report is updated to allow sorting by both Date Desired and Request Entered Date. A new prompt is presented to the AEU which will allow them to choose the sort by date of either Date Desired or the new Request Entered Date. The default is Date Desired. 3) Lower bound warning when scheduling a radiology request in the Schedule a Request [RA ORDERSCHEDULE] option that is more than thirty (30) days before the date desired. Problem: -------- Currently there is a upper bound limit to radiology scheduling, but no lower bound. Some requests for future follow-up studies are incorrectly scheduled well in advance of the date desired. For example, a one year follow-up procedure for January 2025 is scheduled for January 2024. Resolution: ----------- Check is added to the Schedule a Request [RA ORDERSCHEDULE] option that will warn the AEU that the schedule date is more than thirty days prior to the date desired indicated on the request. The AEU can continue and schedule it anyway or exit to schedule it later. Test Sites: ----------- Northport VAMC (Northport, NY) Richard L. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. If the new backup build option was used, after Xtracting the patch message use the KIDS Installation menu and enter RA*5.0*209b at the INSTALL NAME prompt.
