RG*1.0*78 is the only required build for patch RG*1.0*79. NOTE: Do NOT install RG*1.0*79 on legacy sites or on the FORUM CLAIMS system. The Master Patient Index (MPI) has made an enhancement to monitor the Health Level Seven (HL7) filers to ensure that they have NOT been started as POSTMASTER. Enhancement MPI has discovered that Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs), such as the Proxy Add Patient calls, have been occasionally failing when they are executed through the ^XWB2HL7 application programming interface (API). These failures are due to Information Technology (IT) individuals at sites NOT starting the Incoming HL7 filers with their Designated User ID (DUZ) but instead temporarily changing their DUZ to POSTMASTER (.5) to start them. Unfortunately, POSTMASTER doesn't have the appropriate permissions to successfully execute RPCs, not to mention that changing your DUZ to start the HL7 filers is also considered a security violation. The use of this process at some sites may be due to the fact that IT does not want their name associated with edits to records that happen through these calls, even though through the AUDIT file history it can be determined that they were just the one that started the HL7 filer. Therefore, to ensure that MPI has visibility at the sites to get this issue addressed promptly when it does occur, the MPI Daily Stat Report monitoring query process has been updated in routine RGMTMONT to include an additional check that will now verify that each Incoming HL7 Filer Task has NOT been started by POSTMASTER. Routine RGMTMONT will now pass back the following error to MPI for each Incoming HL7 Filer at the site only if it has been started by POSTMASTER: => INCOMING HL7 FILER TASK (<#>) started by POSTMASTER EHRM Impact Statement: ---------------------- - This patch should have no EHRM impact, and can be installed at all sites, including EHRM converted sites.
