In the past, sites were allowed to create lifetime home oxygen prescriptions which allowed them to enter an expiration date of 01/01/2099. This process ended in 2016. Since those futuristic dates remain, they are displayed as the most current date on the Prescription Expiration Dates report but are not valid so users can't determine the true expiration date of the prescription. ******** NOTE : Prosthetics Home Oxygen staff should review the post-install email generated by this patch to ensure that auto-modified Home Oxygen Expiration dates after year 2023 are correct.******** Patch Components: ----------------- Files & Fields Associated: File Name (Number) Field Name (Number) New/Modified/Deleted ------------------ ------------------- -------------------- N/A Forms Associated: Form Name File #New/Modified/Deleted --------- ------ -------------------- N/A Mail Groups Associated: Mail Group Name New/Modified/Deleted --------------- -------------------- N/A Options Associated: Option Name Type New/Modified/Deleted ----------- ---- -------------------- N/A Protocols Associated: Protocol Name New/Modified/Deleted ------------- -------------------- Security Keys Associated: Security Key Name ----------------- N/A Templates Associated: Template Name Type File Name (Number) New/Modified/Deleted ------------- ---- ------------------ -------------------- N/A Additional Information: ---------------------- N/A New Service Requests (NSRs): ---------------------------- N/A Patient Safety Issues (PSIs): ----------------------------- HITPS-8329 Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: -------------------------------------------- INC20287815 - Report is not computing the data that was entered. Happening in Providence, Boston, CT, Bedford (at minimum) Problem: -------- Expiration dates later than 2023 are displaying on the Prescription Expiration Dates report. These expiration dates were allowed in the past; however, Patch RMPR*3.0*207 was created to ensure that the most recent expiration date displays on the report and erroneously determined that these dates greater than 2023 are the most current. Resolution : ----------- Routine RMPR210P was created for prescription expiration dates after year 2023. This pre-install routine will modify the PROSTHETICS PATIENT File (#665), HOME OXYGEN PRESCRIPTION (Multiple) field (#19.3), EXPIRATION DATE sub-field (#2) for those prescriptions written on or before 12/31/2016 that have expiration dates beyond 2023. It will set the expiration date to the date the prescription was created. This will allow the Prescription Expiration Dates report to display the correct latest expiration date. The routine will also send an email listing the prescriptions that were automatically modified. Also included in the email under heading "PATIENTS NEEDED TO BE EDITED MANUALLY" are prescriptions written on or after 1/1/2017 that have expiration dates beyond 2023 (on or after 1/1/2024) but were not automatically modified by this routine. These prescriptions require Home Oxygen Staff to manually review and correct them if necessary. The mail message that will be sent has the subject: "**** RESET HO SCRIPT EXPIRATION DATES >2023 ***" and will be sent to the patch installer and the holders of RMPRMANAGER or RMPRSUPERVISOR security keys. This is an example of the email: Subj: **** RESET HO SCRIPT EXPIRATION DATES >2023 *** [#274900] 08/04/22@12:46 22 lines From: POSTMASTER In 'IN' basket.
