$TXT Created by at DEVVLD.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Wednesday, 01/06/21 at 15:25 ============================================================================= Run Date: MAR 01, 2021 Designation: ROR*1.5*37 Package : ROR - CLINICAL CASE REGISTRIES Priority: Mandatory Version : 1.5 SEQ #37 Status: Released Compliance Date: APR 01, 2021 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)ROR*1.5*36 <<= must be installed BEFORE `ROR*1.5*37' Subject: COVID19 LOINC and VA RECENT PATIENTS Category: - Routine - Other Description: ============ This patch includes the following enhancements to the Clinical Case Registries (CCR) package. 1. One new local registry is added: - Recent Patients Registry - VA RECENT PATIENTS including the following functionality: a. The set up and initial build of the new registry. b. Adding the new registry to the nightly job that searches for and adds patients to them, based on Admission Date and Visit Dates. c. The standard local reports currently available in CCR will be available for the new registry, with the addition of the Registry Lab tests by Range and Registry Medications reports. 2. Addition of new LOINC codes to the COVID19 registry antibody search. 3. The version of the CCR software has been updated to 1.5.37 Previous registries are built based on a diagnosis for a patient. For example, the patient has diabetes. That patient stays in the diabetes registry until a user deletes the patient from it. The new VA RECENT PATIENTS registry is not based on diagnosis. Instead, the registry is populated by patients who were admitted to or had an appointment at the facility in the previous two years. Every time the software's background task is run to update the existing registries it checks the VistA database for admissions and appointments. Patients who continue to meet the two year requirement stay in or are added to the registry. A patient is automatically dropped from the registry if there are no admissions or appointments in the previous two years. This new registry is really about helping users look for information about any medical condition. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, there was no designated diagnosis code, procedure or test that everyone recognized to identify it. With this new registry, users can do searches on all recent patients for many different criteria to report on new or unknown medical conditions.
