This patch corrects the problem of appointment processing in VistA Scheduling (VS) Graphical User Interface (GUI) not invoking the event driver protocol (SDAM APPOINTMENT EVENTS) that legacy VistA does. This protocol allows other applications to tie functionality, including interfaces to external systems such as Pyxis, Omnicell, and Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to appointment events. Actions currently being executed for appointment events in legacy VistA will also be executed for appointments when those events (Make Appointment, Check-in, Undo Check-in, Check Out, Undo Check Out, Cancel Appointment, No-Show) are triggered by the GUI. This patch does not require a GUI update. Only the Make Appointment and Cancel Appointment options have been affected. Problem: -------- This patch is to correct a problem after patch SD*5.3*722, Large Background Job Fix, was released and overlaid previous code released in patch SD*5.3*717, Invoke SDAM Appointment Events from VS GUI, for two routines (SDEC07B and SDEC08 only). This patch corrects the problem of appointment processing in VistA Scheduling (VS) Graphical User Interface (GUI) not invoking the event driver protocol (SDAM APPOINTMENT EVENTS) that roll and scroll VistA does. This protocol allows other applications to tie functionality, including interfaces to external systems such as Pyxis, Omnicell, and Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), to appointment events. Actions currently being executed for appointment events in legacy VistA will also be executed for appointments when those events (Make Appointment, Check-in, Undo Check-in, Check Out, Undo Check Out, Cancel Appointment, No Show) are triggered by the GUI. This patch does not require a GUI update. Only the Make Appointment and Cancel Appointment options have been affected. Resolution: ----------- Modified routines SDEC07B and SDEC08 to put back in the code that will call the event driver. There was a QUIT before it called the code. Added back missing SD*5.3*722 code.
