The Telehealth Emergency Management System (TEMS) needs to be able to leverage Providers availability across the Nation via TMP, in order to support these emergent events. Currently, in TMP if a Facility has the Vista Switch turned off, the TMP Resources can be reserved however the email notifications for that appointment do not get sent since they are dependent on the Make Vista Appointment workflow completing. This impacts all modalities, especially VA Video Connect (VVC) as VVC is dependent on email notifications to the provider and the patient. TMP necessitated a requirement to add the TMP application to the VistA REMOTE APPLICATION FILE in order to use the VistA BROKER'S REMOTE PROCEDURE CALLS (RPC) Security Enhancements for verifying a TMP user's VistA account and access. This patch adds an entry, TELE HEALTH MANAGEMENT to the REMOTE APPLICATION FILE in order to use this security check. Problem: -------- When an appointment is made using the TMP application, if the scheduler is not a VistA user then a new remote user account needs to be created for the scheduler in order to schedule the appointment. Resolution: ----------- This patch adds the TMP application to the VistA REMOTE APPLICATION FILE (#8994.5) in order for the VistA RPC BROKER Security Enhancement process to verify the scheduler and if the scheduler doesn't have an account, establish a remote user account and assign the SDECRPC Secondary Menu Option to the user. This allows the scheduler to make and cancel appointments on that VistA system. This routine adds the TELE HEALTH MANAGEMENT PLATFORM entry to the REMOTE APPLICATION FILE (#8994.5). 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this patch. 2. Choose the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option. 3. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System menu, select the Installation menu. From this menu, you may elect to use the following options. When prompted for the INSTALL NAME enter the patch #SD*5.3*746: a. Backup a Transport Global - This option will create a backup message of any routines exported with this patch. It will not backup any other changes such as DD's or templates. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System. This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global. This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. 4.
