It prevents ELECTRONIC WAIT LIST (EWL) entries from reopening when an appointment is cancelled. It adjusts how VistA Scheduling Enhancements (VSE) passes 'FASTING' and "NON-FASTING' lab data to the RECALL REMINDERS (#403.5) FILE and it creates two new Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) to address a latency problem with the calendar view. ************************************************************************* * GUI UPDATE NOTICE * *----------------------------------------------------------------------- * * This patch MUST be installed before the Graphical User Interface (GUI) * * update for release 1.7.3 of VistA Scheduling (VS) is installed. * * * * * * NOTE: The previous version of VS GUI will not operate after this patch * * is installed. * * * * * ************************************************************************** Patch Components: ----------------- Files & Fields Associated: -------------------------- File Name (Number) Field Name New/Modified/Deleted ------------------- ---------- -------------------- SDEC SETTINGS (#409.98) CURRENT GUI VERSION (#2) Modified GUI VERSION EFFECTIVE DATE (#3) Modified Forms Associated: ----------------- Form Name File Number New/Modified/Deleted --------- ----------- -------------------- N/A Mail Groups Associated: ----------------------- Mail Group Name New/Modified/Deleted --------------- -------------------- N/A Options Associated: ------------------- Option Name Type New/Modified/Deleted ----------- ---- -------------------- SDECRPC Broker (Client/Server) Modified Protocols Associated: --------------------- Protocol Name New/Modified/Deleted ------------- -------------------- N/A Security Keys Associated: ------------------------- Security Key Name ----------------- N/A Templates Associated: --------------------- Template Name Type File Name (Number) New/Modified/Deleted ------------- ------------------------ -------------------- N/A Remote Procedures Associated: ----------------------------- Remote Procedure Name New/Modified/Deleted --------------------- -------------------- SDEC CLINIC GROUP LOOKUP NEW SDEC CLINIC GROUP RETURN NEW SDEC GETWLIEN NEW Parameter Definitions Associated: --------------------------------- N/A Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: -------------------------------------------- JIRA tasks: ----------- 1) Jira #VSE-43 - Recall Letters incorrectly stating labs are required Problem: Recall Reminder letters incorrectly stating labs are required. Resolution: Added an additional Labs section on the Appointment Request to indicate Fasting, Nonfasting, or None. 2) Jira #VSE-61 - Continuation of EWL Work (VA Mandate) Problem: EWL entries were being reopened when appointments made from those entries were cancelled. This is in conflict with the VA directive to retire the Electronic Wait List (EWL). Resolution: Modified application behavior so that when an appointment made from an Electronic Wait List (EWL) entry is cancelled, an APPT request is reopened instead of an EWL entry. 3) Jira #VSE-285 Large amount of data returned by SDEC RESGPUSR RPC causes latency in GUI Problem: The way the application is designed now, SDEC RESGPUSR is called when a user first brings up a clinic's calendar, and it returns all of the resource groups and clinic information for clinics within a group. At sites with a large number of groups, this can result in latency on the front end due to the large volume of data. Resolution: Created two new Report Procedure Calls (RPCs) to address a latency problem with the calendar view.
