Subject: DECOMMISSION OF VS GUI

Description:

 This Informational patch is intended to provide guidance to VistA sites 
 on the first phase of VS GUI decommissioning, which is targeted for the 
 end of FY2025. VistA Scheduling functionality is now available in the 
 Integrated Scheduling Solution (ISS) web application, and the legacy VS 
 GUI system will no longer be supported following decommission.
  
 Following patch release, users should use ISS exclusively for any action
 previously performed using VS GUI. Users can access the application at
 https://staff.apps.domain.ext/iss/ or via the Integrated Scheduling Solution
 national VHA bookmark in Microsoft Edge.
  
 The following actions will need to occur to facilitate the deactivation of
 the VS GUI software:
  
 1. VistA sites will need to remove the VS GUI MSI files from the
    PreProd Gold Star Folder.
  
    VistA PreProd sites will need to remove the VSE GUI shortcut as well 
    as the VS GUI Launcher.
  
 2. VistA sites will need to remove the VS GUI MSI files from the
    Production Gold Star Folder.
  
    VistA Production sites will need to remove the VSE GUI shortcut as 
    well as the VS GUI Launcher.
