$TXT Created by SCM.FO-BIRM.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Tuesday, 06/15/21 at 11:28 ============================================================================= Run Date: NOV 22, 2021 Designation: SR*3*200 Package : SR - SURGERY Priority: Mandatory Version : 3 SEQ #188 Status: Released Compliance Date: DEC 22, 2021 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)SR*3*184 <<= must be installed BEFORE `SR*3*200' Subject: ROBOTIC ASSISTANCE INDICATOR Category: - Data Dictionary - Input Template - Routine - Enhancement (Mandatory) Description: ============ This enhancement to the VistA Surgery package includes: 1. The addition of a new ROBOTIC ASSISTANCE (Y/N) field (#2006) to the SURGERY file (#130). It is used for tracking whether robotic assistance was used when completing a surgery procedure. This new field is included on the Operation [SROMEN-OP], Operation (Short Screen) [SROMEN-OUT], and Nurse Intraoperative Report [SRONRPT] options within the Operation Menu [SROPER] and is required to be entered prior to signing the Nurse Intraoperative Report. This field is also included on Non-Cardiac and Cardiac Risk Assessment data entry options and selected reports. This indicator is transmitted to Veterans Affairs Surgery Quality Improvement Program (VASQIP) for all cases. 2. The addition of a new ROBOTIC DEFAULT field (#12) to the LOCAL SURGICAL SPECIALTY file (#137.45). This new field was added to the Local Surgical Specialty file which is accessible under the Update Site Configurable Files [SR UPDATE FILES] option. If defined for a local specialty, the software will automatically enter NO in the ROBOTIC ASSISTANCE (Y/N) field (#2006) when a surgery case is created for the selected specialty. 3. An update to Risk Assessment transmissions to strip seconds from the D/T OF DESIRED PROCEDURE DATE field (#613). This allows the date/time to be stored properly at the Surgery Risk Assessment Database. 4. A correction of the display of the Laser Duration on the Nurse Intraoperative Report. It changes "mins." to "seconds". 5. A correction of the auto-population of the patient's height when using the Operation Startup [SROMEN-START] option, allowing the software to pull the measurement regardless of date taken. It also stores the date of the measurement. 6. An update to the checks that determine whether a Risk Assessment transmission is generated from a Production account or Test account to use a supported Kernel Utility. 7. Spelling corrections to the words "inotropic" and "immediate" in a help prompt. These were unrelated to this enhancement. INC17131263 - LASER DURATION DISPLAY ISSUE Problem: -------- In the LASER PERFORMED multiple (#135) of SURGERY file (#130), the LASER DURATION sub-field (#14) value is measured in "seconds". When the duration value is displayed in the Nurse Intraoperative Report, it displays with the incorrect field label of "min." when it should be "seconds". Resolution: ----------- Changed the Field Title for LASER DURATION sub-field (#14) from "Laser Duration" to "Laser Duration (seconds)". Changed the display in the Nurse Intraoperative Report to append the value with "seconds" instead of "min.". 2. INC16629266 - HEIGHT NOT AUTO-POPULATING Problem: -------- In the Operation Startup [SROMEN-START] option, the HEIGHT field (#236) in the SURGERY file (#130) is not auto-populated consistently. Unlike the Preoperative Information (Enter/Edit) [SROA PREOP DATA] option within the Surgery Risk Assessment module, the Operation Startup [SROMEN-START] option only auto-populates the height when it was collected less than a year before the DATE OF OPERATION field (#.09), and never populates the HEIGHT MEASUREMENT DATE field (#236.1). It should populate the last height measurement regardless of date and should always populate the HEIGHT MEASUREMENT DATE field (#236.1) in the SURGERY file (#130). Resolution: ----------- The software was updated to auto-populate the HEIGHT field (#236) and HEIGHT MEASUREMENT DATE field (#236.1) regardless of measurement date to be consistent with how this information is auto-populated when using the Surgery Risk Assessment module. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of the development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. It is imperative that you have performed a backup of the build included in this patch prior to installation. (See Installation Instructions 2B.) The back-out build can be used to restore the routines, input templates, options, and other VistA components included in the build. It will not remove data dictionary field definition node additions (e.g. new fields, new cross-references) or rollback data changes. For this patch, data dictionary additions and data changes can remain in place and do no harm if the rest of the patch is backed out. Call the National Help Desk or enter a Help Desk ticket, if required. To verify the routine back-out completed successfully, ensure the checksums match the pre-patch checksums from this patch description.
