Post-Installation Instructions: None Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back out or roll back software will be a joint decision between the development team, VA site/region personnel, and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated Kernel Installation & Distribution System (KIDS) package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the build in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global option [XPD BACKUP] from the Installation menu [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. The back-out plan is to restore the routines, templates, and data dictionaries from the backup created. The message containing the backed-up build can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt, followed by PackMan function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE." From the Kernel Installation & Distribution System menu [XPD MAIN], select the Installation menu [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. Then select the Install Package(s) option [XPD INSTALL BUILD] and choose the patch (SR*3.0*205b) to install. Installing the backed-up build on the VistA system will restore the SROMEN-OPER, SROMEN-OUT, SRONRPT, SRONRPT1, and SRONRPT2 input templates, the SROATCM3, SROATM3, SROATMN1, SROMENU, SRONIN, and SRONRPT4 routines, and the DONOR VESSEL DISPOSITION (#665) and POSSIBLE ITEM RETENTION (#630) fields in the SURGERY (#130) file. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore no rollback strategy is required. Validation of Back-Out Procedure: --------------------------------- The back-out of the routines can be verified by confirming the checksums have been returned to the pre-patch values using CHECK1^XTSUMBLD. It can also be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the SR routines contained in this patch using the First Line Routine Print option [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routines contained in this patch have been backed out, the second line of each routine will no longer contain the designation of patch SR*3.0*205. The back-out of the data dictionary changes can be verified by using VA FileMan's List File Attributes option [DILIST] to confirm that the POSSIBLE ITEM RETENTION (#630) field and the DONOR VESSEL DISPOSITION (#665) field in the SURGERY (#130) file match the pre-patch text below: 130,630 POSSIBLE ITEM RETENTION 25;6 SET Possible Item Retention 'Y' FOR YES; 'N' FOR NO; LAST EDITED: JUN 23, 2015 HELP-PROMPT: Answer YES if the surgical field has the potential for leaving behind a sponge, sharp, or instrument.
