 This INFORMATIONAL PATCH serves to announce the VBECS Known Defects 
 and Anomalies Version 10.0 was updated with an addendum which is 
 available for immediate download. The VBECS_1_4_KDA_ADD contains          
 only the new anomalies and defects detected through testing or field    
 reports since the release of VBECS 1.4.0.0. 
  
 Please use the addendum in conjunction with the previously released 
 VBECS Known Defects and Anomalies, Version 10.0 document.
  
 This patch is released with a thirty (30) day compliance. 
  
 BLOOD BANK CLEARANCE 
 ===================== 
  
 EFFECT ON BLOOD BANK FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Patch VBEC*1.0*11 does 
 not alter or modify any VistA Blood Bank software design safeguards or 
 safety critical elements functions.
  
 RISK ANALYSIS: Changes made by patch VBEC*1.0*11 have no effect on Blood 
 Bank software functionality, therefore RISK is none.

 The VBECS_1_4_KDA_ADD is available from the VistA Documentation Library 
 (http://www.va.gov/vdl/) in the Clinical section under Lab: VistA Blood
 Establishment Computer Software (VBECS). 
  
 This document is also available on the ANONYMOUS.SOFTWARE directory 
 at one of the following Office of Information (OI) Field Offices. 
 Sites will be able to utilize Documentation in either the ".PDF" 
 or "DOC" format.
