$TXT Created by at MDEVC.FO-BIRM.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Thursday, 06/29/23 at 09:50 ============================================================================= Run Date: AUG 23, 2023 Designation: VPR*1*32 Package : VPR - VIRTUAL PATIENT RECORD Priority: Mandatory Version : 1 SEQ #31 Status: Released Compliance Date: SEP 23, 2023 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)VPR*1*6 <<= must be installed BEFORE `VPR*1*32' (v)VPR*1*28 <<= must be installed BEFORE `VPR*1*32' Subject: RPC ISSUES Category: - Routine Description: ============ This patch to the Virtual Patient Record (VPR) application will modify the VPR routines supporting the VPR GET PATIENT DATA Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) to address the following issues: 1. A new filter value will be supported to allow users to indicate if breaks should be included in multi-line strings to preserve formatting. The default will remain as is, returning a single long wrapped string. 2. A new filter value will be supported in the pharmacy domain (alternate XML med domain) to request the same views of medications as with other order searches. The default will remain as is, returning released orders. 3. ID child notes will no longer be returned as separate entries in the Document results when the note text is included, unless only unsigned notes were requested. The body of the parent and child notes will always include all related notes, so this prevents excessive processing times when many child notes exist. The test options for both XML and JSON have also been modified to allow paging through results by record; entering ^ at the pause will exit the results display. See the VPR Developer's Guide for full details on these new filters. INC27260921 Add line breaks to Lab comments Prior to this patch, comments were returned as one long string. This patch adds support for a new "nowrap" filter, which if set to 1 will insert a carriage return between each line. The default will remain as is, to concatenate all lines into a single string. 2. INC27261794 Allow filtering meds by other statuses Prior to this patch, the "pharmacy" domain only pulled released orders; the general order domain allows filtering by any CPRS view. This patch adds support for the same "view" filter in the pharmacy domain as used by orders. 3. INC27407065 Excessive processing time for ID child notes Prior to this patch, VPR returned ID child notes as separate entries in the Document results. The body of each note, parent and child, includes all related notes which can spike CPU usage and affect other jobs if a parent has an unusually large number of child notes. ID child notes will now only be returned separately if the note text is not included, or if the requested view was for unsigned notes only.
