This deployment is scheduled to take place on October 24,2016 from 8:00 PM EST - 11:00 PM EST. No effort is required by local sites. Veteran Authorization and Enhancements (VAP) Release 2.5.0. contains enhancements to the VAP application (Version 2.5.0.11) and eHealth Exchange (Version 6.8.2.4). These changes are Work Items that were recorded and tracked in the Veteran Authorization and Preferences area of Rational Team Concert, the VA-prescribed tool used for tracking requirements and associated test plans. This release contains the Work Items completed during production deployment. This release consists of the following enhancements: - Enhancements to allow users to export reports within the VAP application to both Excel and CSV. Privacy reminders were added regarding VA's policy for safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) information. - Addition of Partner Organization functionality allows VAP administrators to view list of VAP partners, check if a partner is active, edit partner details and view inactive partners. - Enhancements were made to add workflow for placing a consent in a delayed status due to missing information. Letters can be generated for mailing to Veteran with reasons for delay and information needed, in addition to updates on expiring authorization and revocation consent letters. Reporting features are added to track consents in a delayed status for both summary and detailed level. - Updates were completed to provide additional reporting options and filters. Additional features include searching by User ID, multi-selection of VISN and facilities in consent reports, filtering by 5 digit code facilities, and differentiation in the User Interface (UI) between preferred facility and authenticating facility. The list of facilities within the VAP application was expanded to include 5-digit facilities. - Addition of Organization ID (OID) displayed within Received eHealth Exchange and Patient Discovery report. Within the export files, additional columns are parsed from the details column to include User Facility Code, OID, User Facility Name. - User role details, associated to a transaction, are displayed within selected reports. Changes were implemented on both VAP and Exchange to support functionality. - Enhancements were made to support filtering of reports by all patients, test patients, and real patients. - Sorting functionality for report columns was expanded to include Opt-In and Patient Discovery Summary reports. - Developed functionality for printing of accounting of disclosures for a specific patient - Functionality was developed for automatically opting-out patient whose authorizations have expired, until a new authorization is entered (nightly update) - Tool-tip (Hover Prompts) are provided within the user interface to provide descriptions of user fields and/or report column definitions - User-Friendly error messages are presented when an error occurs within the VAP application User Acceptance Test is by the direction of the Veteran Authorization and Prefereces (VAP) Business Owner and no MOUs are required. Testing Process: Release 2.5.0.11 was fully tested though the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Software Quality Assurance. The Veteran Authorization and Preferences (VAP) Business Owner and Stakeholders completed User Acceptance Testing of enhancements.
