Description:

 The Bed Management Solution (BMS) v2 software enhancement
 project is to improve usability of the BMS v2 system, which improves
 the data accessibility and usability for BMS v2 users, and
 increase the integration of BMS v2 and VA systems.
  
 The following enhancements are included in this release:
 1.   Patient Pending Bed Placement (PPBP) List Views
      a. Configuration option that allows a default
         view to be assigned to each use
      b. Customized layout for each view
      c. Provide and store custom/sorted list views
      d. Comment section in each view
      e. Default view will be assigned to each user
      f. Export function from the PPBP
      g. Icon for the same/similar name to show on
         the PPBP list
 2.   Specialty Display
      a. Parameter to limit the personal health information
         that is displayed in public areas
 3.   Reporting Enhancements
      a. Patient Transfer Report
      b. Identify the name of the user that performed a
         "Write" function (comments, adding , removal)
         on PPBP and Whiteboard
      c. Emergency Management Regulating Report
      d. Icon Audit
      e. Discharges in Progress Report
 4.   Emergency Management Vehicle Manifest
      a. Tool that accurately identify patient's demographic
         information during an emergent event
      b. Print by vehicle identifier number
      c. Identify patient location and expected time of arrival
         at their destination
 5.   Facility Settings
      a. Exports a list of all users and their roles at the
         facility/VISN level
      b. System Administrator in the icon add/edit screen has
         the ability to drag and drop icons to re-sequence the
         order in which they appear on the list
 6.   BMS Update
      a. The last update time shall be limited to the most recent
         update from ADT and exclude all other update actions
 7.   Audit Log
      a. The Standard Icons Report shows the standard icons
         in use
      b. The Site configurable Icons report shows the standard
         icons in use
 8.   Emergency Management PPBP List
      a. The PPBP List, located under evacuation data
         provides a free text box for vehicle ID
      b. Field to capture seat position on the vehicle
      c. Field to capture patient time of arrival
 9.   General Application Enhancements
      a. All census calculations are displayed on the Home Page 
         This will assist users in optimizing PT flow
         and avoid movement bottle necks
      b. New Events link was changed to show links to new events
         in a boxed area on the Home Page
         The count was removed
      c. Admin page was re-designed to improve usability of BMS v2
      d. Marquee: Stores five custom marquee messages
      e. Text Field Countdowns: There is a countdown of the
         number of characters remaining in a limited character

 Problem: The user's column sort is not retained due to a screen refresh
 every 90 seconds, making it more challenging for the BMS user to 
 efficiently identify and take action on those patients needing admission
 or a transfer due to change in level of care.
  
 Resolution: BMS Version 2 Patch US031.05 modifies the BMS software PPBP 
 view so that it still refreshes (updating the contents of the list if
 there are changes during the user's open session), but does not override
 the user's selection for how the list should be ordered.

 The BMS application is a centrally managed web-based application
 hosted at AITC.
 BMS version 2.0 will be loaded into BMS Production account
 by AITC staff.
 No software will be installed at the facilities.
