============================================================================= Run Date: FEB 11, 2016 Designation: WEBP*1*3 Package : WEBP - PATIENT CENTERED MANAGEMENT Priority: Mandatory Version : 1 SEQ #3 Status: Released Compliance Date: MAR 12, 2016 ============================================================================= Subject: PCMM WEB DEPLOYMENT OPTIMIZATION AND CONFIGURATION CHANGES Category: - Informational Description: ============ The Patient-Centered Management Module (PCMM) Web application version WEBP*1*3 Configuration Changes Address performance issues and database memory leaks in the Web application while National Deployment background processes are in progress. Configuration Changes: ====================== RTC - 265784 - DB Connection Leak Configurable caching was added for stations by ICN cache, and in addition to existing Hazelcast caching scheme Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and NONE caching scheme were added to allow switching at deployment time to caching at JVM level or no caching at all. This change affects initial cache build on application start and processing of MFN-M05 messages from MVI. RTC - 265786 - Stabilize Encounter Processing Refactored the portion of PCMM Web Auto Inactivation (AI) job which processes encounters for a single patient to be sent to a Java Messaging Service (JMS) queue to provide processing of data and prevent loss of events from VistA. RTC - 269027: Deployment - Speed/Resource optimization for Secure Messaging / web services Made the following optimizations to minimize database hits during web service call: - created a computed column for short_icn in DB (part before "V") - changed queries to reference this, removing call to getPatientByIcn in PatientSummaryController - determined how to store web service result in patient / VistaPatient table(s) and proactive update when data change Implementation: =============== The PCMM Web WEBP*1*3 is a centrally managed web-based application and will be implemented deployed to a central web server. No installation is required by sites.
