The VAS application is a real-time web-based interface that has dependencies on VistA patient data. It provides a nationwide HIPAA compliant Audit Tracking Solution with the ability to track and report on access logs for patients' PII/PHI data across all VistA instances. VAS users are Privacy Officers and Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) and their authorized representatives who need the ability to view the log of Create, Read, Update and/or Delete (CRUD) operations on patient information to respond to FOIA, HIPAA, employee and Inspector General (IG) requests. This data originates from VistA and flows through in-memory database servers to be stored in the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) Amazon Web Services (AWS). VAS web-based User Interface will access and display the data stored in AWS. New Features and Functions The VAS 2.2 release includes the following updates: Enhancements: * Export to CSV - VAS now includes an export feature that provides the ability to export patient records to a CSV file. * Remove DUZ identifier from VAS - The internal identifier DUZ has been removed from the VAS dashboard to remove the risk of exposing Social Security Numbers (SSNs). * MPI Look-up changes - The VAS lookup feature now utilizes the Master Patient Index (MPI) so that Privacy Officers have the VistA data required for their investigations. * UI Enhancements * 508 Remediations - The VAS 2.2 Release includes updated documentation meeting 508 compliance standards. * Security updates Bug fixes: * INC32002965 - Patient search stalls out with specific date range * When a date was entered and no results are returned, the loading indicator does not disappear. * INC34497899 - Paging error for results over 1000 records.
