An API was created to trigger the PMU-B01 or PMU-B02 HL7 messages. An API will process the application acknowledgment from the PMU-B01 message setting the Enumeration Completed date and time field and triggering the PMU-B02 message. These APIs will handle both the B01 and B02 for NEW PERSON (#200) or PAID EMPLOYEE (#450). Issue #3 The following new fields have been added to the KERNEL SYSTEM PARAMETER (#8989.3) file. This patch does not alter or modify any VistA Blood Bank software design safeguards or safety critical elements functions. RISK ANALYSIS: Changes made by patch XU*8*551 have no effect on Blood Bank software functionality, therefore RISK is none. Installation Instructions: ========================== 1. This patch takes less than 2 minutes to install. Users ARE allowed to be on the system during the installation. However, it is recommended that the patch be installed during non-peak time. 2. You DO NOT need to stop TaskMan or the background filers. 3. Use the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE option on the PackMan menu. Note: TEXT PRINT/DISPLAY option in the PackMan menu will display the patch text only. 4. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select the Installation menu. 5.
