============================================================================= Run Date: APR 23, 2020 Designation: XU*8*728 Package : XU - KERNEL Priority: Mandatory Version : 8 SEQ #565 Status: Released Compliance Date: MAY 24, 2020 ============================================================================= Subject: INFORMATIONAL - VIE TO Health Connect Category: - Informational Description: ============ ************************************************************************** This is an informational patch describing the migration from Vitria Interface Engine (VIE) to InterSystems Health Connect. Health Connect is a part of the suite of products grouped under HealthShare. ************************************************************************** The Health Connect product will be replacing the Vitria Interface Engine (VIE). During the transition phase, Health Connect and VIE will be running concurrently. A parallel deployment is planned at an enterprise level. The VIE STS functionality will remain in place for most sites while specific sites will implement the STS Health Connect. Production will run concurrently with VIE, replacing only the VIE STS functionality. Both VIE and Health Connect systems will run in parallel at the site level when Health Connect STS is rolled out. VIE will continue to process messages for applications that have not yet been migrated. The Health Connect STS production will process STS messages. TEST Sites: =========== The STS business product manager and the VA PMO have agreed that IOC will not occur with this application. Reason - VIE and Health Connect cannot be connected at the same time. There is a 72-hour compliance window and the reason for not performing IOC. The 72-hour compliance has been done previously. Software and Documentation Retrieval Instructions: -------------------------------------------------- Documentation describing the new functionality introduced by this patch is available. The preferred method is to retrieve files from download.vista.domain.ext. This transmits the files from the first available server. Sites may also elect to retrieve files directly from a specific server. Sites may retrieve the software and/or documentation directly using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) from the ANONYMOUS.SOFTWARE directory at the following OI Field Offices: Hines domain.ext Salt Lake City domain.ext Documentation can also be found on the VA Software Documentation Library at: http://www.domain.ext/vdl/ Patch Installation: Pre/Post Installation Overview ------------------------------ ************************************************************************** The following instructions are to be performed only when directed to do so by the Healthshare National Admin Team. These changes can only be implemented in collaboration and coordination with the Healthshare NationalAdmin Team, the Health Connect Support Operations Team, VistA HL7 support, And STS Admin Support. ************************************************************************** Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. After Healthshare's Health Connect is stood up, and the Health Connect Production instance is ready to process incoming and outgoing messages, the site administrator will need to edit the HL LOGICAL LINKS file (#870) for XUMF ACK entry. The STS server and the VistA logical links will need to point to an IP address and port to the Health Connect production. The following steps will need to be performed in the VistA HL7 application: Step 1. Stop the XUMF ACK Logical Link with HL7 Menu option: Start/Stop Links. The following is an example: Select OPTION NAME: HL7 MAIN MENU HL MAIN MENU HL7 Main Menu Event monitoring menu ...
