Problem 1: Documentation about multiple surrogate periods for Alerts is missing from the Kernel Systems Management Guide. Resolution 1: Documentation about multiple surrogate periods for Alerts has been added to the Kernel Systems Management Guide. Problem 2: Changes to a list of surrogate periods are not immediately displayed, when using the options 'View Alerts' [XQALERT] and 'Alerts - Set/Remove Surrogate for User' [XQALERT SURROGATE SET/REMOVE]. Resolution 2: The list of surrogate periods are immediately displayed after a change is made. Problem 3: When a surrogate period is created for a user who is already a surrogate for another user, the earlier surrogate period is deleted. Example: First surrogate period is added: USER,ONE -> SURROGATE,ONE A subsequent surrogate period is added to SURROGATE,ONE SURROGATE,ONE -> SURROGATE,TWO The first surrogate period is removed, leaving USER,ONE with no surrogates: USER,ONE -> X SURROGATE,ONE -> SURROGATE,TWO Resolution 3: The transitive surrogacies are preserved: USER,ONE -> SURROGATE,ONE SURROGATE,ONE -> SURROGATE,TWO Additional Information: ----------------------- Patient Safety Issues (PSIs): PSPO 3725 HITPS-6417 Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: INC0958477 - Previous Surrogates dropping when using a START DATE/TIME of "NOW" or when current surrogate periods are updated later INC3336138 - Previous Surrogate deleted INC4505552 - Surrogate settings are not sticking Blood Bank Team Coordination: Clearance - 05/19/2020 EFFECT ON BLOOD BANK FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Patch XU*8*730 contains changes to a package referenced in ProPath standard titled: BBM Team Review of VistA Patches.
