The error trap routine ^%ZTER checks a count in the Error Trap Summary file (#3.077) and stops recording errors once a limit has been reached. The limit is set on the field ERROR LIMIT (#520.1) on KERNEL SYSTEM PARAMETERS file (#8989.3). The above functionality works well, but there is a flaw that is exposed if the error trap message exceeds 30 characters. This issue was raised in the ticket I14506767FY17.
