Presently InterSystems Corporation Cache is used by The Department of Veterans Affairs, software checking for the M platform in use does not currently consider IRIS as a viable return value, this patch is designed to update several routines to accommodate the IRIS platform while leaving the Cache platform check in place. Once all VistA instances have been switched to IRIS, another patch will remove the Cache check. This is due to Kernel code branching based on a return value from a call to $$VERSION^%ZOSV(1). Only the New Orleans VistA instance is on the new InterSystems IRIS data platform which is why this was occurring. VA is moving forward with converting Cache sites over to IRIS, this patch will ensure a smooth transition in regard to Kernel code while maintaining compatibility with the Cache platform. Resolution: ----------- 1) Modified the following routines to enable checking of the new IRIS return value from the call to $$VERSION^%ZOSV(1).
