Problem 1: Tickets: no tickets, suggestion by email from support staff Released patch XU*8*366, modified the prompt in Vista when entering start and end dates for a surrogate that causes the line to wrap around when the user enters long dates with time. Solution: Improves the interaction by shortening the prompt and by providing improved feedback to the user. It also displays the surrogate relation that will cause a failed cyclic relation. Problem 2: tickets: INC04085753,INC14391457 A few users have experienced errors: CURRSURO+10^XQALSURO Which is caused by a corrupted x-reference entry that points to a missing entry in the SURROGATE multiple field. Solution: Ensures that a x-reference points to an existing entry in the SURROGATE multiple field and removes the bad x-reference. Problem 3: tickets: INC17208654,INC18904936 A error is encountered when adding a surrogate with a surrogacy period of NOW and no end date/time, and there are existing surrogacies that are tested for cyclic relationships. The existing algorithm that checks for cyclic relationships is incorrect: it uses only the period for testing but not the period of surrogacy to test. Solution: DCYCLIC^XQALSUR1 now uses the overlap of two periods when testing: 1) period being tested; and 2) surrogacy period to test This ensures that the recursive period being tested decreases and terminates. Problem 4: tickets: related to Problem 3. $$CURRSURO^XQALSURO contains logic to check for cyclic surrogate relationships. This logic is not consistent with logic already used to check for cyclic relationships at surrogate creation time. It is no longer necessary and is still prone to potential errors as fixed in patch XU*8*730. Solution: The cyclic check has been removed from $$CURRSURO^XQALSURO as there is already a cyclic check performed at surrogate creation time: $$CYCLIC^XQALSURO and $$DCYCLIC^XQALSUR1.
