The bugs were discovered during an analysis of determining the expected alert recipient in situations where the initial recipient is in uncommon surrogate relationships. The details of these relationships are explained in the "Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview" section. INC29218280 Unprocessed Alerts Not Returned When Surrogacy Expired Problem: -------- User had a surrogate and the surrogate also had a surrogate. An alert for the user was correctly delivered to the second surrogate. However, the second surrogate did not process the alert. The problem is that after the surrogacy ended for the second surrogate, the alert stayed with the second surrogate. The alert should have returned to one of the other users. Resolution: ----------- Routine XQALSUR1 has been modified to ensure the alert is restored/forwarded to the original intended recipient. Depending at the time of restoration, the alert stays with the original recipient or is delivered to current surrogate, and so on for any surrogate of the surrogate. 2. INC26961910 Are alerts, that are restored, forwarded to current surrogate? Problem: -------- When an alert is restored, the alert is delivered to the original recipient. However, the recipient has a surrogate during the time the alert is restored and the alert is not delivered to the surrogate. Resolution: ----------- Fixes routine XQALDATA that restores a message and ensures that the alert is sent (forwarded) to existing code that determines to whom the alert should be delivered. In this case, ensure that the alert is delivered to the surrogate.
