 The utilization of the Behavioral Health Lab (BHL v5.2) COTS software is 
 optional and this patch is used for information announcement purposes. 
 This patch announces availability of the Behavioral Health Lab (BHL v5.2) 
 COTS software and its associated interface to VistA. 
  
 The BHL Software is a flexible and user-friendly tool designed to 
 facilitate the delivery of measurement based behavioral health care. The 
 software supports Primary Care - Mental Health Integration programs by 
 providing customizable decision support, patient tracking tools and 
 structured assessments to monitor patient symptoms and inform treatment 
 decisions. The installation and usage of this software is at the 
 discretion of the local Mental Health staff (Primary Care-Mental Health 
 Integration (PCMHI) providers or ACOS Mental Health). 
  
 The BHL Software is a Windows client application (.exe) that has been 
 certified to run on workstations running Windows XP and Windows 7. The
 BHL's interface to VistA is based on the RPC Broker and the usage of
 pre-existing RPCs thus NO new or modified M routines are required or
 included in this patch.

 THIS IS A Windows APPLICATION AND THERE ARE NO M ROUTINES. 
  
 The BHL software and associated interface was tested in the following 
 sites:
 -- Philadelphia VA Medical Center, PA 
 -- VA Upstate NY HCS, NY
 -- Iron Mountain VA Medical Center, MI
 -- Louisville VA Medical Center, KY
 -- VA Maryland HCS, MD
  
  
 DOCUMENTATION INFORMATION:

 The use and installation of the BHL COTS software at a local facility is 
 at the discretion of the mental health providers at a local facility. If 
 Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) providers or ACOS Mental 
 Health at a facility wish to utilize the software to support their PCMHI 
 services, they will coordinate the request through the PCMHI national 
 contact:

 Once the local staff has coordinated the request for the BHL with the 
 national PCMHI contact the vendor shall then provide the BHL software and 
 associated installation materials.
