Description:

   VHA has received a request from VBA to update several exam worksheets
   in the VistA Automated Information Exchange (AMIE) package.  These
   worksheets provide general guidance to physicians at VA medical centers
   when performing Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams.  VBA has updated
   the exam text in response to changes in the Disability Rating Schedule,
   which went into effect January 12, 1998.
    
   Existing entries in AMIE EXAM file #396.6 for several exams will be
   inactivated:
   
   ARRHYTHMIAS
   ARTERIES AND VEINS
   AUDIO
   HEART AND HYPERTENSION
   MENTAL DISORDERS (EXCEPT PTSD AND EATING DISORDERS)
  
   Then file #396.6 will be updated with new entries for the following
   exams: 
   
   ARRHYTHMIAS
   ARTERIES, VEINS AND MISCELLANEOUS
   AUDIO
   GULF WAR GUIDELINES
   HEART
   HYPERTENSION
   MENTAL DISORDERS (NOT INITIAL PTSD AND EATING DISORDERS)
    
   Fourteen routines will be installed in order to generate the revised
   worksheets associated with these exams.

   INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
   ==========================
   
   This patch can be loaded with users on the system.  
   
   Installation will take less than 5 minutes.  
    
   1.  Use the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE option on the PackMan menu to unload
       the KIDS distribution included with this message.
     
   2.  From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select 
       the Installation menu.  
    
   3.  From this menu, you may elect to use the following options
       (when prompted for INSTALL NAME, enter DVBA*2.7*16):
       a.  Compare Transport Global to Current System  - this option will
           allow you to view all changes that will be made when the patch
           is installed.  It compares all components of the patch (routines,
           DDs, templates, etc.).
       b.  Verify Checksums in Transport Global - this option will
           allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in
           the transport global.
    
   4.  Use the Install Package(s) option and select the package DVBA*2.7*16.
   
   5.  When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and
       Protocols? YES//', respond YES.  When prompted to select the options
       you would like to place out of order, enter the following:
      
         Regional Office C&P Menu         [DVBA C REGIONAL OFFICE MENU]
         Medical Administration C&P Menu  [DVBA C MEDICAL ADMIN C&P MENU]
              
   6.  After the patch has been successfully installed, you may delete the
       post-installation routine, DVBA16PI.
