It also adds an additional warning when creating Consult Services and additional information in the Consult documentation of the Inter-facility Consults Implementation Guide. HD0000000105403 Can't print an UNCOSIGNED consult report from the Consults tab immediately after 1st signature Problem: -------- Site reported they were unable to print an UNCOSIGNED consult report from the Consults tab immediately after 1st signature. The print action does not have the TIU results text or any of the consult actions, it just prints as 'CHART COPY - No Consultation Results available". The same TIU document can be printed just fine on the NOTES tab if the site has Authorization Subscription Utility (ASU) rules permitting this. Resolution: ----------- This problem was due to the fact that the consult code to fetch a TIU document was only made if the status of the consult was complete. Routine GMRCP5A was modified to fetch the TIU document and allow the ASU rules to determine if the TIU document may be viewed. 2. HD0000000068032 Can do 'admin complete' in GUI w/o any text Problem: -------- An Administrative Complete can be executed on a Consult without entering a comment. In CPRS gui, a response in the comment field is required, but can be tricked by entering a blank space or a blank line by pressing . In VistA, a comment is not needed at all to administratively complete a consult. Resolution: ----------- A new check in routines GMRCAAC, GMRCGUIB and GMRCP will be made to insure some sort of text is included in the comment field when a user Administratively Completes a Consult. 3. HD0000000067611 IFC request forwarded to a hidden 'tracking' svc Problem: -------- A consult can be Forwarded to a 'Tracking Only' consult service in VistA. The CPRS software (not GUI) and the Consult Service Tracking [GMRC SERVICE TRACKING] option both allow this to occur. 'Tracking Only' consults appear to be not selectable when you type a "?" at the prompt, but if you partially type the name they are returned by the lookup and are selectable. Resolution: ----------- Routine GMRCASV will be modified to include an edit to filter out 'Disabled' and 'Tracking Only' Consult services where the user is not an update user when forwarding a consult. 4. HD0000000103284 Deleting duplicate services Problem: -------- Currently, a consult service may appear as part of the Consult service hierarchy in more than one place (i.e. a sub-service of more than one parent). This situation has the potential to skew the results of the Consult Performance Monitor Report [GMRC RPT PERF MONITOR] which was released in patch GMRC*3.0*41. Resolution: ----------- When adding a consult service as a new sub-service, a check will be made to determine if this will create a duplicate sub-service situation. If so, a new warning message will be displayed to warn the user that the consult service already exists as a sub-service and provide them the opportunity to not create the new sub-service entry. As part of the new warning message, a listing of current locations where the Service is already a sub-service is displayed. The input routine, GMRCSRVS, will be modified to accomplish this task. The warning message will look like the following: Service MENTAL HEALTH URGENT CARE is already a sub-service of: CARDIOLOGY CLINIC MENTAL HEALTH (G) PSYCHIATRY OUTPATIENT CLINICS (G) A consult service appearing as part of the Consult service hierarchy in more than one place (i.e. a sub-service of more than one parent) has the potential to skew the results of the Consult Performance Monitor Report [GMRC RPT PERF MONITOR]. Do you wish to continue adding MENTAL HEALTH URGENT CARE as a new sub-service? NO// 5. HD0000000067813 Runaway jobs Problem: -------- It was discovered that if a device/printer was missing the right margin setting (IOM), a print job could go into an indefinite loop while printing an SF513. Resolution: ----------- Routine GMRCP5A will be modified to set the IOM variable to 80 whenever a device is selected that does not already have a right margin setting. 6. HD0000000133446 Unable to Edit/Resubmit IFC Problem: -------- A site indicated the information contained in the INTER-FACILITY CONSULTS IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE of the VistA Documentation Library was misleading in regard to the Edit/Resubmit action. On page 20, the guide indicates that all actions normally available to the user in the Consult Service Tracking option are usable via the IFC Requests By Patient [GMRC IFC RPT CONSULTS BY PT] option. This is basically true, but some of the actions are only available at the Consulting (Receiving) site while the Edit/Resubmit action is only available at the Requesting (Sending) site. Resolution: ----------- The wording on page 20 of the INTER-FACILITY CONSULTS IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE will be modified to more accurately describe the actions available while using the IFC Requests By Patient [GMRC IFC RPT CONSULTS BY PT] option. The new text will read: The IFC Requests by Patient (IP) report is the same as the Consult Service Tracking (CS) option, except that it only displays inter- facility consults. As such, once it has been invoked, all actions normally available to you in the Consult Service Tracking option are potentially usable. Some actions are only available to the Consulting (Receiving) site, as they relate to the processing of the Consult. The Edit/Resubmit action is only available at the Requesting (Sending) site, as that is the location responsible for submitting the Consult in the first place. 7. HD0000000067397 System didn't prevent duplicate cons service names Problem: -------- A site discovered that a user is able to edit a Consult Service name, using the Set up Consult Services [GMRC SETUP REQUEST SERVICES] option, to create multiple Consult Services with the same name. This is also possible when working with Procedure names via the Setup Procedures [GMRC PROCEDURE SETUP] option. Resolution: ----------- The input templates for the NAME (#.01) and the SERVICE NAME (#.01) fields, in the GMRC PROCEDURE (#123.3) and REQUEST SERVICES (#123.5) files respectively, will be modified to check for the existence of a duplicate name when editing the existing name of a service/procedure. The help prompt text will also be modified to indicate a unique name must be entered.
