 This patch creates two Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for use
 by version 5.0 of the GEN. MED. REC. - VITALS package (aka
 Vitals/Measurements). These APIs are documented in Integration Agreement
 (IA) #3214.
  
 This patch is distributed with version 5.0 of the GEN. MED. REC. - VITALS 
 package. Software retrieval and installation instructions are included 
 with version 5.0 of the GEN. MED. REC. - VITALS package.

 The two APIs are in a new routine, GMRYAPI. They are:
  
 1) INPUT()
    This function returns the number of entries in the GMRY INPUT TYPE file
    (#126.56).
  
 2) OUTPUT()
    This function returns the number of entries in the GMRY OUTPUT TYPE
    file (#126.58).

 SOFTWARE RETRIEVAL AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
 ================================================
 The software for this patch is not being distributed through the National
 Patch Module.  This patch, GMRY*4.0*5, along with patch NUR*4.0*37 and the
 entire package for GEN. MED. REC. - VITALS 5.0, are being released in a
 single KIDS software distribution. This patch only includes the
 informational portion of GMRY*4.0*5.
  
 This patch is being distributed as a host file.  The host file will
 contain three (3) KIDS builds.  The first build is for GEN. MED. REC. - 
 VITALS 5.0. The second build is for NUR*4.0*37. The third build is for
 patch GMRY*4.0*5.
  
 This patch is designated as an enhancement with a new routine.  The 
 routine will be added upon the installation of combined KIDS software
 distribution.
