The interface allows the clinical devices listed in Table 1 to send data to the Medicine Package using the Transport Communication Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Health Level Seven (HL7) data format. Table 1 ---------------------- Device Device Instrument Vendor Type Code ------------ --------- ------- Sensormedics Pulmonary SMC Medgraphics Pulmonary Medgraph Medgraphics Pulmonary *D.I. cMore Endoscope cMore Olympus Endoscope OLYMPUS Pentax Endoscope PENTAX DelMar Holter CCF Marquette EKG/ECG Muse ECG * For Medgraphics devices that use the Data Innovations (D.I.) interface, the Sending Facility (4th piece of the message header (MSH) segment, delimited by a vertical bar) will contain the string "Instrument Manager". The 25th piece of the observation request (OBR) segment will then contain the Instrument Code for that device. For sample formats of the MSH and OBR segments, refer to the patch Installation Guide or Appendix A of the Medicine v2.3 Technical Manual. New Data Dictionary File - Instrument HL7 Coding (690.7) ------------------------------------------------------------------ This file is used by the Medicine clinical device interface to determine which clinical instrument routine is to process the data passed from HL7. This file will contain the corresponding Mail Group that will be notified in the event of an error. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Documentation exists in the following files, which can be downloaded: MC2_3_P24_IG.PDF <-- Contains the Installation Guide for the patch MC2_3TM.PDF <-- Contains the updated Medicine V2.3 Technical Manual MC2_3_P24_TM.PDF <-- Contains changed pages in Technical Manual Files are available for download at the following IO Field Offices: Office FTP Address Directory ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hines 152.129.1.110 [ANONYMOUS.SOFTWARE] Albany 152.127.1.5 [ANONYMOUS.SOFTWARE] Salt Lake 152.131.2.1 [ANONYMOUS.SOFTWARE] Routine Summary: =============== ;;2.3;Medicine;**[patch list]**;09/13/1996 CHECK^XTSUMBLD results Routine Name Before Patch After Patch Patch List ------------ ------------ ----------- ---------- MCAR7A NA 6734283 24 MCAR7E NA 2532570 24 MCAR7H NA 838746 24 MCAR7M1 NA 3159089 24 MCAR7P1 NA 4601827 24 MCAR7P2 NA 3537636 24 MCAR7X NA 1387367 24 MC24POST NA 415569 24 The post install routine will clean up a no longer used routine and will be deleted by the KIDS build when it is finished.
