This patch addresses the following New Service Request(NSR): ------------------------------------------------------------ There are no Service Requests associated with this patch This patch addresses the following NOIS message(s): --------------------------------------------------- LEX-0104-41744 PRS*4*90 problems Overview of NOIS Message(s): ---------------------------- LEX-0104-41744 PRS*4*90 problems Problem: -------- When patch PRS*4.0*90 was installed, it accidentally created two new entries (IENs 2 & 3) in the PAY ENTITLEMENT (#457.5) file, instead of updating two of the existing entries (IENs 64 and 106). Resolution: ----------- This patch will delete these two erroneous entries, and will correctly update the two existing entries. It will also check the ENTITLEMENT (#4) field in the EMPLOYEE (#459.01) multiple of the TIME & ATTENDANCE (#458) file for PP 04-01 for any entries that point to the two erroneous entries, and if any are found, it will point them to the correct entries. DISABLE ROUTINE MAPPING (DSM for Open VMS sites only) ----------------------- Disable routine mapping on all systems for the routines listed in step 3 below. NOTE: If the routines included in this patch are not currently in your mapped routine set, please skip this step. 3. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global - This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. 6. Select Installation Option: Install Package(s) ------------------ **This is the step to start the installation of this KIDS patch: a. Choose the Install Package(s) option to start the patch install. b. When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? YES//' answer NO. c. When prompted 'Enter protocols you wish to mark as 'Out Of Order':' press . 7. REBUILD MAPPED ROUTINE(S) (DSM for Open VMS sites only) ------------------------- (Optional) Include the routines distributed with this patch in the mapped routine set. NOTE: This step is only necessary if you performed step 2 or if you wish to include the routines in your mapped set. 8. (Optional) Delete Pre-Install routine PRSXP91. Routine Information: ==================== Routine Name: - PRSXP91 This Pre-Install routine will correct the PAY ENTITLEMENT (#457.5) file. It will then loop through the employees in the TIME & ATTENDANCE (#458) file for PP 04-01 and for the effected employees will update the ENTITLEMENT (#4) field of the EMPLOYEE (#458.01) multiple, which is a pointer to the PAY ENTITLEMENT (#457.5) file.
