Subject: PROVIDER COMING UP AS INVALID PROVIDER

Description:
============

 When checking out a visit or entering a provider at the CPT level, the 
 site is receiving a "not a valid provider" message due to the NEW 
 PERSON file having another entry with the same name as the Provider. 
 This error message occurs when a duplicate named Provider is attempted 
 to default, but errors instead.  In the past the sites have been 
 correcting the problem by changing the name of one of the two 
 duplicate named entries involved by adding a middle initial.  
  
 The following is a screen example of the error condition for Provider
 named Test,Dr. There is also another entry in the New Person file entered 
 as Test,Dr who is a student.

 Problem:
 -------
  
 When checking out a visit, and entering a provider, it is showing
 "not a valid provider".  The problem occurs when there is another
 entry in the NEW PERSON file with the same name as the Provider on
 record.  In the past the sites have been making one of the duplicates
 a different name by adding an initial to the name.  Support wanted
 a fix to the routine to prevent duplicate names from causing this error. 
  
   
 Resolution:
 ----------
  
 This patch modifies the lookup logic to the NEW PERSON file to pass the 
 internal key when defaulting a previous provider and the user accepts the
 default value.  Modifications to allow provider with duplicate name in
 NEW PERSON to function properly when adding/editing Providers or Check Out
 action from Appointment Management template or PXCE Encounter Data Entry.

 This patch can be loaded with users in the system.  Installation time
 will be less than 2 minutes.
  
  1.  Choose the PackMan message containing this patch and invoke the 
      INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option.  
  
  2.  Start up the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu
      [XPD MAIN]: 
  
           Edits and Distribution ...  
           Utilities ...  
           Installation ...  
  
      Select Kernel Installation & Distribution System Option: Installation
                                                               ---
           1      Load a Distribution
           2      Verify Checksums in Transport Global
           3      Print Transport Global
           4      Compare Transport Global to Current System
           5      Backup a Transport Global
           6      Install Package(s)
                  Restart Install of Package(s)
                  Unload a Distribution
  
  3.  From this menu, you may elect to use the following options
      (When prompted for the INSTALL NAME, enter PX*1*141):
      
      a.  Backup a Transport Global - This option will create a backup
          message of any routines exported with this patch. It will
          not backup any other changes such as DD's or templates.
      b.  Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option
          will allow you to view all changes that will be made when
          this patch is installed.  It compares all components of this
          patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.).
  
  4.  Use the Install Package(s) option and select the package
      PX*1*141.
  
       a.  When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the
           install? YES//', answer NO.
  
       b.  When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu
           Options, and Protocols? YES//' answer YES.
  
    When prompted to select the options you would like to place out of
    of order, enter the following:
  
         PXCE ENCOUNTER DATA ENTRY
         PXCE ENCOUNTER ENTRY & DELETE
         PXCE ENCOUNTER ENTRY NO DELETE
